Healing, when approached through holistic modalities, is a
process of becoming whole.  Well, what does it mean to be not
whole?  We become fragmented when the pressures of living
impede the demands of the deeper parts of ourselves.  This
can result in feelings of depression, anger, fatigue and even
disease.  We become whole as we start to reclaim the parts of
ourselves we mistakenly thought we needed to abandon, and
we find as we become whole that our health and vitality
reappear.
Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese healing
modality where the energetic balance of
the body is assessed and adjusted in
terms of the strength or weakness of
various kind of energies or elements in
the body...for example the quality of the
water element in the body effects the
health of the kidneys.
Shiatsu/Shin-Tai is a fabulous technique
developed by Saul Goodman, founder of the
International Schools of Shiatsu.  Shin Tai
releases long held stress patterns from various
levels of the body system.  Shin-Tai is known to
reduce stress, allow one to be more effective in
ones life and improve postural alignment.
Healing Foods.  Macrobiotics, Ayurveda, Five
Element Theory...all the traditional healing
systems consider food an important element in
health and healing.  If the symptom is addressed
through either eastern or western approaches, but
detrimental eating habits are not addressed, it's
possible the symptoms may return.  Dietary
recommendations are an important component in
the healing process.  At Sattva Education and
Wellness we work with the Integrative Nutrition
Paradigm, which integrates the wisdom of all these
traditions with western nutritional information
